Professor Michael Kidd AO

Professor Michael Kidd AO is a clinician researcher in primary care, public health and global health with interests in digital health, mental health, ageing and infectious diseases. He is inaugural Director of the Centre for Future Health Systems at UNSW Sydney, and Professor of Global Primary Care and Future Health Systems at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford. He served as deputy chief medical officer and principal medical advisor to the Australian government during the COVID-19 pandemic. Michael is Non-Executive Director of Telstra Health, The George Institute for Global Health, and Therapeutic Guidelines Ltd, and is Chair of the Therapeutic Guidelines Foundation, and the Australian Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.

Michael will speak to some of the detail that his Future Health Systems research at Oxford and UNSW will focus on.
